Listed below are a few events from this past Friday night to give you a small glimpse into the community events taking place in our area this autumn! Each promotes a sense of community and offers an atmosphere of connection among local residents.

Autumn Bash

Lisa Horton and Michael McCurdy put on their dancing shoes for one of the most important fundraising events of the year. Dancing With the Statesboro Stars is an annual event benefiting Safe Haven which helps women, men, and children who have been affected by domestic abuse.
Autumn Bash, sponsored by The DripBAR, featured dining, dancing, door prizes, and more.

Monthly "Fix-It Fridays"

Georgia Southern's Fab Lab and the City of Statesboro's Greener Boro Commission have teamed up to host monthly "Fix-It Fridays" as part of an ongoing campaign to reduce waste and encourage innovation within Bulloch County.
The monthly event invites locals to bring their small appliances, furniture, and feature fixes for free repairs.

YMCA SPOOKTACULAR Outdoor Movie Nights

The Statesboro Family YMCA is hosting outdoor movie nights every Friday night in October. The SPOOKTACULAR movie series includes Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, and Nightmare Before Christmas. Tickets are $5, and the Y has a SPOOKTACULAR line-up of movies planned.
Gates opens at 6pm for families to grab their spots and participate in pre-movie activities such as Halloween crafts and games. Concessions will be available with an “All you can Eat” ticket for $7 a person, or $25 for family of four. Concessions include popcorn, drinks, hot dogs, and candy.
