Richard Pylant, Bulloch County Coroner has confirmed with Grice Connect that the 3 year old who was involved in a fatal car crash has died. The toddler was revived at the scene by paramedics and was life flighted to Memorial Medical Center after being transported to EGRMC.
According the GSP Post 45 Sergeant Robbie Scott the crash occurred on Thursday morning, May 11, 2023, where the toddler was the back seat passenger in a vehicle driven by his mother who Scott has now identified as Amanda Craven (28). The child has been on life support in Savannah. He died on Thurday, May 18, 2023.
Craven left her lane of travel and struck a second vehicle head on which was driven by Jennifer Robinson Jenkins. Jenkins died on impact.
Craven was treated for injuries and has been released from the hospital.
GSP's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) was called to the scene and is handling the investigation. Sargent Scott said that charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
The family of the toddler has reached out to Grice Connect and asked us to share a GoFundMe they have established to help with expenses involved with his funeral. According the the GoFundMe, they are donating his organs.
