Little Big Town will bring their "Friends of Mine" tour to the Johnny Mercer Theatre on Friday, April 21. Tickets are available online now.

Little Big Town is a country music group that consists of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook. At a time in which country music groups were not as popular as their pop counterparts, Little Big Town defied the odds with their lush harmonies and blending lead vocals.

In each release, the four members alternate in the spotlight. Expected at this concert are their performances of "Girl Crush," "Boondocks," "Little White Church, "Pontoon," "Your Side of the Bed," and, of course, "Friends Of Mine."

Kimberly Schlapman and Karen Fairchild are the initiators of the band. The two powerful singers first met at Samford University and discovered their shared love for country music. They both formed the band in 1998. When Little Big Town looked for a record contract in Nashville, they landed a deal with Mercury Nashville, but their work never made it to the market because the recording deal was laid off.

Despite this setback, they persevered and got the opportunity to sing backing vocals on the album "Can't Back Down" by Collin Rayes. This achievement led to them getting signed with Monument Records. After getting signed, they released "Don't Waste My Time" and "Everything Changes," which reached the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In 2002, they released their self-named debut album. The band has released ten albums in their long career, most of which are mainstream successes.
