The Chocolate Run returns to Statesboro

The Chocolate Run will take place on Feb. 25 benefitting Open Hearts Community Mission

Don’t miss out on Georgia’s sweetest 5K, The Chocolate Run, benefitting Open Hearts Community Mission (OHCM). 

Set for February 25 at the Georgia Southern University RAC Pavilion in Statesboro, the Fun Run will begin at 8am, and the 5K run will begin at 8:30 a.m. Race packets may be picked up at the RAC on Friday, February 24th between 12-5 p.m. or Saturday, February 25th, prior to the race, between 7-8 a.m. The race will be held rain or shine.

Participants can register online for $30 per person. Every participant will receive an event t-shirt, sweet treats, and a finisher medal, and awards will be presented to the event’s top runners. 

1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be given for Overall Male, Female and Masters (40+). Age group awards will be given to the top 1st and 2nd place male and female (10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 and over).  

Founded by the Leadership Bulloch Class of 2013, the Chocolate Run has raised over $300,000 for Open Hearts in the past nine years. OHCM is a faith based ministry dedicated to serving the homeless.
