The Statesboro Ministerial Association will offer "Ashes to Go" outside Cool Beanz Espresso Bar on Ash Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Ashes will be available from 8-9am. Cool Beanz is located at 19 South Main St. in downtown Statesboro.
"The Statesboro Ministerial Association welcomes all to remember this holy day that marks the beginning of Lent. We hope to create safe spaces for people wherever they are on their faith journey," said Rev. Taylor L.G. Hartman of First Presbyterian Statesboro. "Even if you don’t know much about Ash Wednesday or Lent and want to know more, we’re here to talk and accompany you."
In an effort to expand opportunities for the sharing of ministry across denominational lines, the Statesboro Ministerial Association will also sponsor Holy Week worship again this year.
The community of Statesboro and Bulloch County is invited to attend. These services of worship will be held April 3 to 7 from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. each day, followed by a light lunch provided by the host congregation.
