The Bulloch County Agricultural Complex is proud to house the Budweiser Clydesdales ahead of their appearance in Statesboro this weekend. The public is invited to visit the world famous horses at the Ag Arena on Thursday, November 17, and Friday, November 18, from 12pm-7pm each day. There is no charge to visit the horses.
The six-feet tall, 2,000 pound horses have been a symbol of quality and tradition for Anheuser-Busch since 1933. Interestingly, each Clydesdale hitch travels with a dalmatian. In the early days of brewing, dalmatians were bred and trained to protect the horses and guard the wagon when the driver went inside to make deliveries. (You may spot one of them during your visit, too!)

Their eight-horse hitch will be parading through Statesboro on Saturday, November 19, as part of the Georgia Southern football team’s Eagle Walk. The Clydesdales will begin their Statesboro tour with a hitching ceremony at the University Bookstore from 2 to 3 p.m. that day.

From the bookstore, the horses will continue through the tailgates at the Performing Arts Center and Recreation Activity Center and finish by leading the Georgia Southern football team in the Eagle Walk outside of Paulson Stadium. The Eagle Walk will officially begin at 3:45 p.m. prior to the team’s home game vs. Marshall.
The Bulloch Ag Complex is located at 44 Arena Blvd. between Langston Chapel Road and Highway 301S. For more information, call 912-871-7265.
