MADD is holding its third Savannah/Coastal Georgia Walk Like MADD on April 22.

Join Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) this April to support the victims of drunk and drugged driving crashes.

“Raising awareness with our Walk Like MADD event is imperative to our mission to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking,” said the organization in a press release.

MADD is holding its third Savannah/Coastal Georgia Walk Like MADD on April 22. The walk will take place at 1401 Strand Avenue on Tybee Island beginning at 7 a.m.

Walk Like MADD events bring together victims, survivors, volunteers and community partners to remember those killed, injured or emotionally devastated by drunk driving.

In 2022, more than 90 cities across the nation hosted Walk Like MADD events.

The Savannah/Coastal Georgia Walk Like MADD 2023 event will help to raise funds to provide emotional support and services for victims.

Funds will be used to conduct awareness and research-back prevention programs to stop drunk driving and prevent underage drinking.

These funds will also assist in supporting our first responders and helping to legislate tougher laws including requiring ignition interlocks for all DUI offenders.
