Georgia Southern Athletics has officially selected a date for its annual spring game that wraps up the football team's 15-practice spring session.
The Blue vs. White spring game will take place on Saturday, April 22, beginning at noon at the Allen E. Paulson Stadium.
Under head coach Clay Helton, GS's football team will begin its spring season on Tuesday, March 21. The team will practice every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The session ends with the Blue vs. White spring game.
ESPN+ will live stream the event, which Morris Bank, Southern Exchange and the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport are presenting.
The game will be accompanied by the True Blue BBQ Competition. Dolan's BBQ will present the competition, which sees participants compete for the best BBQ pork ribs.
As part of the weekend celebration, GS Softball will also be hosting South Alabama for a three-game Sun Belt series. The two squads will play Friday, April 21 at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 22 at 3 p.m., and Sunday, April 23 at noon.
GS will also be hosting the Punt, Pass and Kick Competition for kids ages five to 12. In a battle of football skills, every participant will have an attempt at each event.
Participants will compete in categories based on age. Winners will receive trophies, gifts and recognition at the spring football game. Every child will receive a free T-shirt.
Additionally, the annual EFAA $10,000 Reverse Raffle and Auction will take place on Saturday, April 22 at 6 p.m. inside Hanner Fieldhouse.
