After six total public hearings the Bulloch Board of Education will vote Friday, September 8th at 12 noon at the Board of Education complex. Bulloch County Board of Commissioners are scheduled to meet at 3 PM to adopt the BOE millage rate.

All Bulloch County schools & offices will resume a normal schedule on Friday, September 1. Parents should expect bus route delays and caution student drivers. Principals will work with families if isolated conditions cause absences.

Valuing public feedback it received about its attendance at public hearings, the Bulloch County Board of Education will hold three additional public hearings on the proposed 2023 millage rate. The team has collaborated with the Statesboro Fire Department to create an industry-leading integrated health approach to firefighter wellness.

The goal of the project is to identify a group of highly qualified students and to render 161 scholarships over a six-year period in an effort to increase student retention and graduation rates.
