Georgia Southern University now encompasses 10 academic colleges with the transition of the University Honors Program to the Honors College.

After much consideration and out of respect for everyone’s health, East Georgia State College is hosting its Fall 2020 Commencement Ceremony virtually. EGSC Virtual Commencement will be presented December 12 at 10 a.m.

The Statesboro High School Fine Arts Department will present, " It's a Wonderful Life ," on December 4-5, at 7:30 p.m., in the SHS Auditorium. In a throwback to yesteryear, student actors will present the play on stage as a radio play.

The Bulloch County Board of Education has voted to approve a two-year contract extension for Superintendent of Schools Charles Wilson. This provides Wilson a contract through July 31, 2024.
