As our community recovers from the pandemic which prevented last year’s celebration, the series known as ONE is preparing a very special One Holiday Concert.

Ogeechee Riverkeeper (ORK) has chosen the best photographs from across the 5,500 square mile watershed submitted for the annual photography contest .

On Saturday, December 4, 2021 Feed the Boro volunteers presented the 500,000th meal to Vera Mercer of Statesboro at the SHS food drop. In addition to the food, Mrs. Mercer was presented a $200 gift card by Food Lion manager Tod Marsh.

Ogeechee Area Hospice invites the community out to their Mistletoe & Memories, 15th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Celebration. The tree lighting will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 beginning at 5:00 PM till 6:30 PM.

The Georgia Department of Public Health ( DPH ) has been notified of a Georgia resident currently in New Jersey who has tested positive for COVID-19 and the Omicron variant .

The American Legion Dexter Allen Post 90 & Auxiliary is hosting the American Legion VA Benefits Jamboree. The Jamboree will be held Saturday, December 3, 2021 from 10 AM to 4 PM at Statesboro Post 90.

The Feed the Boro Pre-Thanksgiving Food Drop held on November 20, 20 21 fed 1,000 meals to families in our community.

The Downtown Statesboro Development Authority invites everyone out for the downtown Christmas Holiday Celebration and December First Friday event.

The Holiday Helper Tree, Georgia Southern University’s annual holiday tradition where the campus community joins together to provide gifts to local organizations, returned for its 28th year.
