Statesboro Pride is proud to announce its 2022 Boro Pride Festival on Saturday,
October 15, 2022 from noon to midnight. This event will be at the Georgia Southern University City Campus, 58 E. Main Street, Statesboro, GA.

Nationally and globally, Pride is a festival to celebrate their identities and gain visibility for their community. This year’s Boro Pride Festival is the organization’s first in-person celebration. At its inaugural event in 2019, hundreds of community members showed up to affirm and support the LGBTQ+ community of Statesboro and surrounding areas.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic was a major challenge, Statesboro Pride continued to grow and expand its reach locally. The organization gained new members, established an emergency trust fund, and built new relationships with other LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations. This year’s Boro Pride Festival is a recognition of progress that’s been made, and the work that’s still to be done.

The afternoon portion of the festival will kick off with an address by the City of Statesboro Mayor Jonathan McCollar. It will feature informational panels, a bouncy house, HIV testing, Monkey Pox Vaccines, and so much more.

The evening will bring Drag Bingo, a live DJ, a bar and a Drag Show to close out the night. Throughout the whole day, there will be vendors, a silent auction, food, music, and performances. Our reigning Miss Boro Pride, Ravion Starr Alexandria St. James, will also be available for meet and greets.
