Ted Wynn, Bulloch County Public Safety Director has issued a Weather Alert for Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

Wynn said there exists the slight possibility of some severe weather mainly this afternoon into this evening.  Wind gusts near 58mph are possible and an isolated brief tornado is also possible.  Again, the timing for us is this afternoon into early evening.  This weather activity is associated with a cold front approaching from the west.

NWS has also issued Hazardous Weather Outlook including Severe Thunderstorms: A line of thunderstorms along a strong cold front will move through the region today. This line of thunderstorms could become severe, bringing the risk of damaging wind gusts and possibly a tornado. The main time period of concern for severe weather is from around midday through the early evening hours.

Stay weather alert throughout the day.
