Statesboro Service League members have been hard at work preparing for the 2024 Attic Sale at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fairgrounds!

The Statesboro Service League has rescheduled its annual Attic Sale, which was postponed from its original date due to extensive damage from Hurricane Helene. The sale will still be held at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fairgrounds, and the new shopping dates are Thursday, October 3 from 4-7pm; Friday, October 4 from 4-7pm; and Saturday, October 5 from 7-11am.

Admission is still $5, and all admission fees will support the Statesboro chapter of AMBUCS, a non-profit organization that empowers individuals to overcome mobility challenges by providing Amtryke adaptive tricycles, scholarships for therapy professionals, and other community services.

A message from the Statesboro Service League:

As we all rally together to support our community after Hurricane Helene, the Statesboro Service League is offering 3 different times to come shop our Attic Sale! This annual sale is a great way to support our community while finding fabulous items for your family and friends! We appreciate your support of the 2024 Attic Sale!

For those still needing to pick up pre-sale or auction items, they can do so during Thursday & Friday shopping times.

The in-person Attic Sale will take place on Saturday, September 28th, starting bright and early at 7am at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds. Admission is just $5, with all entrance fees benefiting the Statesboro chapter of AMBUCS, a non-profit organization that empowers individuals to overcome mobility challenges by providing Amtryke adaptive tricycles, scholarships for therapy professionals, and other community services.

“I am incredibly proud of our attic sale chair, Liz Driggers, and co-chair, Beth Cannon, whose leadership and hard work make this event possible," SSL President Millie Boykin said. "The annual attic sale is not just a fundraiser; it’s a rewarding opportunity for the Statesboro Service League to open our doors to the community, connect with our neighbors, and pour our efforts back into the initiatives that enhance our community. We are excited to raise funds that will further support the vital work of each of our committees, ultimately making a positive impact where it is needed most, in the Statesboro community."

The Statesboro Service League is deeply grateful to our presenting sponsor, Whitfield Sign Co., and the many other sponsors who make this event possible. Their generous support allows us to host this wonderful sale and direct all proceeds toward vital community service initiatives.

We invite the community to join us at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 28th at 7am for the in-person Attic Sale. This annual event draws hundreds of eager shoppers looking for unbeatable bargains on gently used home decor, furniture, toys, clothing, electronics, holiday items, outdoor equipment, and much more.

Proceeds from the sale will go directly to a variety of local non-profits, including Safe Haven, Fostering Bulloch, Gateway Girls, Community Wellness Programs, Youth Sight and Hearing, and many others throughout the year.
