STATESBORO — The Statesboro women’s tennis team took on Greenbrier in a big Region match on Monday afternoon at Mill Creek. The Lady Devils defeated the Lady Wolves 4-1.

How It Happened

  • Lindsay Collins and Annalia Small started off hot and never let up as they won 6-1-6-2 at second doubles to put the Devils up 1-0 on the scoreboard.
  • Jolee Jordan and Maggie Proctor had a battle at first doubles as they faced a duo that was undefeated in the region. Proctor was able to serve out a 6-4 win in the first set and both girls picked up their games as they won 6-3 in the second to put the Devils up 2-0.
  • Anna Washington played her best match of the year at second singles as she won 6-4,6-1.
  • After a close loss at first singles, Ada Lacienski put the final touches on the win as she won 3-6,6-3,7-6 at third singles to solidify the Lady Devils victory.
