STATESBORO — Statesboro HIgh School's boys tennis team lost a close match 2-3 to Lakeside- Evans, Thursday afternoon at Mill Creek Park. The Blue Devils fall 1-1 on the season.
How it Happened
- Leading the way in singles was junior Xavier Deckard defeating Tucker Preston 6-3, 6-0.
- Followed by freshman Griffin Green defeating Payson Gilbert 1-6, 7-6 (7-2), 10- 5.
- Davis Hall was defeated by Austin Spark 3-6, 5-7.
- Doubles teams of Asher Hodgin and Davis Hill were defeated by JC Cook and Lames Son 4-6, 2- 6.
- The second doubles team of Tyler Blythe and Carter Copeland were defeated by Liam Miner and Daden Dykston 0-6, 2- 6.
