Georgia Southern Head Women's Soccer Coach Chris Adams has announced the Fall 2023 schedule for the Eagles. Eight home matches, including one against in-state rival Georgia, plus trips to Miami (FL) and Montana highlight the slate.

The Eagles are coming off of a fantastic 2022 season that saw Georgia Southern go 8-4-5 overall, but 7-1-2 in the Sun Belt, capturing the program's first conference regular season title. Georgia Southern was consistently ranked in the Top 100 RPI and this year's schedule aims to keep the momentum going for Eagle Soccer as they contend for another title in 2023.

"We have some very challenging matches that will improve our strength of schedule and give us a good measure of where we stand in relation to the teams above us in RPI," said Coach Adams. "The Sun Belt Conference is extremely difficult and is in a great position to become a two-bid league. Any team that can have a successful non-conference season along with an impressive conference run should be able to to get into the NCAA Tournament with an at-large bid. Getting to the NCAA Tournament is our program's next goal!"

Two exhibitions begin the Fall with the Eagles playing at SEC foe Florida on Sunday, Aug. 6, at 3 p.m. in Gainesville. Georgia Southern will then host Kennesaw State on Saturday, Aug. 12, for its final regular season tuneup.

The Eagles will be on the road for its first two regular season contests, visiting UAB on Thursday, Aug. 17, at 8 p.m. ET and Furman on Sunday, Aug. 20, at 1 p.m. Georgia Southern will open up its regular season home schedule on Thursday, Aug. 24, hosting North Florida at 6 p.m.

Georgia Southern will then travel to Miami to take on the Hurricanes at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27. It will be the first meeting for the Eagles and the Hurricanes, and the first ACC opponent for Georgia Southern since the 2012 NCAA Championships, when it took on No. 10 Wake Forest.

The College of Charleston begins September's action by traveling to Statesboro to take on the Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 3, at 1 p.m. That leads up to the showdown with SEC foe Georgia on Thursday, Sept. 7, at 6 p.m. - Georgia's first trip to Statesboro since 1995 and the first time an SEC team has played in Statesboro against the Eagles since South Carolina in 1999.

The final non-conference contest for the Eagles is a novelty as Georgia Southern makes its first trip to Montana to take on the Grizzlies on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. ET. It's the second meeting between the two schools - the Eagles played Montana in a neutral-site match back in 2017.

The Eagles begin defense of their regular season Sun Belt title on Sunday, Sept. 17, hosting Georgia State. Georgia Southern then visits South Alabama on Thursday, Sept. 21, for an 8 p.m. ET showdown with the Jaguars
