The Georgia Southern baseball team fell 10-5 to the 21st-ranked Campbell Camels on Sunday afternoon at J.I. Clements Stadium.

Campbell (8-3) took to the board first in the top of the first inning with a Reed Stallman two-out two-RBI single to take a 2-0 lead, but Georgia Southern (4-7) was able to cut into the lead in the bottom of the second inning with an RBI-single from Luke Odden, scoring Corey Dowdell.

The Camels put up two in the top of the fourth inning with solo jacks from Charlie Meglio and Grant Knipp, but the Eagles earned four runs in the home half of the fourth inning to break through for the lead. A two-run home run by Dowdell cut the lead to 4-3, then a two-run double from Josh Tate that scored AJ Wenrich and JD Kaiser put the Eagles up 5-4.

Campbell would score six runs in two of the final three innings, putting up two in the top of the seventh and four in the top of the eighth inning to go up 10-5. The Eagles had the bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, but could not convert to seal the 10-5 Camels victory.

Jackson Roberts took his second victory of the season while Ben Johnson fell to 1-2 on the year.
