Georgia Southern women's tennis will be hosting a winter/spring Junior High and High School Tennis Academy, beginning in January of 2024.
The academy is open to boys and girls from grades 6-12 and will meet every Monday and Wednesday beginning on January 8 at the Wallis Tennis Center on the campus of Georgia Southern University. Details for the clinic are below!
Georgia Southern Junior High & High School Tennis Academy
The Eagles Junior Tennis Academy will be held after school on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 4:15-6:00pm. This Junior clinic is available to anyone in grades 6 through and including grade 12 and is limited to the first 24 participants. The Junior Academy is designed to improve overall tennis skills and give all of the younger players an opportunity to work with these amazing NCAA Division 1 coaches & student-athletes!
Our programs will have a 5:1 player to coach ratio for all sessions.
- Mondays: Jan 8, Jan 15, Jan 29, Feb 5, Feb 12, Feb 19, Mar 4, Mar 11, Mar 25, Apr 1, Apr 8, Apr 15
- Wednesdays: Jan 10, Jan 17, Jan 24, Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 21, Feb 28, Mar 6, Mar 20, Mar 27, Apr 3, Apr 10, Apr 17
WE WILL NOT HAVE RAIN-OUTS. We have secured one of the gymnasiums in Hanner in order to facilitate agility, footwork, and other tennis activities. This way we stay on schedule throughout the semester. This will also allow us to provide a unique opportunity to work on the things that we sometimes may not be able to focus on when it comes to movement and agility. This will help us work on developing each of our players to become comfortable with both on court and off court training which is necessary to becoming a stronger, better, well-rounded player/athlete!
Cost:
- $28 per clinic/day (drop-in)
- $560 for all 25 sessions (20% savings), includes free racquet restringing
- $252 for punch pass of ten sessions (10% savings)
- 10% sibling discount
