Georgia Southern Spring Weekend events schedule announced

The Blue vs. White Spring Football Game, presented by Morris Bank, Southern Exchange, and the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, kicks off Saturday, April 20, at noon. The game will be featured on ESPN+ starting at 12:30 p.m. and conclude with an autograph session with the team on the field. During the game, fans can visit part of the Anthony P. Tippins Athletic Training Facility. Plus, a petting zoo will be on-site for children to enjoy.

The Georgia Southern Athletic Department announced Monday that numerous activities will load up the calendars for the weekend of April 19-21, 2024 for the "Southern Spring Weekend." As Eagle Nation flocks to the 'Boro, patrons will be able to participate in a number of events suitable for the whole family. 

The Georgia Southern softball team hosts Troy in a three-game series during the weekend. The series begins Friday at 4 p.m., followed by a 10 a.m. game on Saturday, and concludes Sunday at noon. The promotion for the weekend is Strikeout Cancer. Click here for tickets. 

Friday evening, April 19, is highlighted by the EFAA $10,000 Reverse Raffle & Auction, in addition to the Punt, Pass, and Kick Contest (previously held on the Saturday morning of the spring football Game). Registration for the Punt, Pass, and Kick Contest is now open at GSEagles.com/PPK

Saturday morning starts with the Little Eagles Cheer Clinic, open to ages four to 12 years old. Little Eagles will learn cheers, chants, and important cheerleading skills from the very best, eight-time National Champion Eagle Cheerleaders. Learn more and register at GScheer.com.

Saturday evening caps off with GATAJAM, presented by ZEROES, featuring Cole Swindell with Rhett Akins, Jon Langston and Mackenzie Carpenter. Gates at Beautiful Eagle Creek are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. More information on set times and parking will be released later. A portion of the proceeds raised from GATAJAM will benefit Eagle Nation Collective, the official NIL Collective of Georgia Southern Athletics. Buy your tickets at GATAJAM.com

Southern Spring Weekend also coincides with Georgia Southern Alumni Weekend. Alumni are welcomed back to campus for the weekend of events, plus several network gatherings.
