Hello Seniors! I am out rambling again and accepted an invitation to join First Baptist Church-Statesboro's "Young at Heart” gathering, and it did NOT DISAPPOINT!!
As always on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, the SENIORS at First Baptist Church-Statesboro meet to FELLOWSHIP, EAT, and take PLEASURE in a very unique and special program.
May was no different. About 50 Young at Heart’ers met on the patio at Nonna Picci and enjoyed a FREE meal celebrating the beginning of summer. We enjoyed sharing our plans for the next few months with each other, too.
Just “a-CHATTIN' and a-LAUGHIN' and a-EATIN'” waiting patiently for the door prizes of beautifully-bowed gift bags and decorative seasonal wreaths. Thank you Diane Hardy for always surprising us with your talent!
The weather was cooperative with cool breezes and NO bugs or gnats. A variety of PIZZAS, buffet style (including pepperoni, meezas, veggie), ice-cold tea, soft drinks, and special orders upon request were served. Even boxes of pizzas to-go were available if desired.
Thank you, Ricky Allen, Senior Adult Minister, and your very BEST right-hand assistant, Susan Allen, for PLANNING and ORCHESTRATING the SENIOR "Young at Heart" events. You make it possible every month that we feel LOVED and APPRECIATED and have a FUN TIME.
