Mr. Tony Darnell Dugger, 68, of Newington, GA passed away Wednesday morning, August 21, 2024 at his residence in the company of his loving wife.
Tony was born on September 18, 1955, in Savannah, Georgia. He worked as a carpenter with the Carpenters Local Union 256 for twenty years. Tony enjoyed watching NASCAR, racing cars himself, and motorcycles. He also enjoyed spending time on his houseboat. Tony lived everyday to the fullest.
He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother, George Henry, Jr., and Martha Brice Dugger, his mother and step-father, Barbara Jean Bridges and Ed Deason; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Tony is survived by his wife, Lisa Dugger of Newington, a daughter, Brandi Nicole (Daniel) Torrence, of Sylvania, grandchildren, Clayton Rigdon and Gunner Rigdon, a great-granddaughter, Giada Rigdon, siblings, Larry E. and Janice Dugger, George Kenneth “Kenny” Dugger, all of Newington, and Bonnie “Lucy” and Donnie Teston of Sylvania, an aunt, Bonnie Ann Murray, of Sunbury, GA, an uncle, Johnny Bridges of Savannah, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Mock, William Scott, Jack Coursey, Johnny Dugger, Cody Dugger, and Johnny Bridges.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 24, 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Newington Methodist Church with Rev. Rus Black officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the Newington City Cemetery.
