Mr. Ronnie Baker McGowan, age 51, died June 7, 2024, from injuries sustained in an accident. He was born in Statesboro and lived most of his life in Metter and Pembroke.
Ronnie was a carpenter and mechanic by trade.
He enjoyed the outdoors.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Baker; father, Ronnie McGowan; a sister, Stacy McGowan and two brothers, Jerell Hutchinson and Bob Hutchinson and several aunts and uncles.
Surviving are a daughter, Rachel Baker of Metter; his stepmother, Mary McGowan of Sylvania; two brothers, Ricky Baker and Tiffany of Greenville, SC and Steven and Kristi Godbee of Portal; five sisters, Tabitha Godbee of Sylvania, Heather and Billy Williams of Sylvania, Linda and Doug Thomas of Florida, Felisha McGowan and Jamie McGowan both of Baxley; an aunt, Betty Ortiz of Laredo, Texas; his nephews, Dennis Hutchinson, Nathan Hutchinson, Christopher Hutchinson, Christopher Parrish, Billy Williams, Jr, Briely Williams, Payton Baker and Jaxson Baker; his nieces, Makayla Jones, Breanna Godbee, Dailey Williams and Vickie Hutchinson. Several other extended family members also survive.
Graveside service and burial will be Wednesday at 11:00am at Northside Cemetery in Pembroke with Rev. Jackie Gordon officiating.
The family will receive visitors at the graveside following the service.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Parrish, Billy Williams, Dennis Huitchinson, Christopher Parrish, Nathan Hutchinson and Ricky Baker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Williams, Jr and Briley Williams.
Memorial contributions may be made to the families burial fund, 502 Miller Street , Statesboro, Georgia 30458.
