Mr. Robert Leo Haranda Sr. died on October 17, 2023, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro, at 84 years old. Born in Pinconning, Michigan, Bob lived alongside his parents and siblings until serving in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1962. He then moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he met his wife Dorothy and worked as a member of the Plumber’s and Pipefitter’s Local Union #234 for over 40 years before relocating to Statesboro, Georgia.
There he enjoyed retirement working part-time at the Bulloch County Recycling Center and was a member of the Rusty Relics, the Knights of Columbus, and the Woodmen of the World. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Haranda, four brothers, and a sister.
Robert is survived by his children - Robbie and Tina Haranda, Fred and Lisa Haranda, Benny and Jane Foskey, Teresa Curtis, and Gary Foskey; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters - Regina and Dorothy.
A mass and celebration of life will take place at a later date.
