Mr. Raymond Howard Brannen, age 83, passed away on Sunday June 8th 2025 at his home in Statesboro. Raymond was born on December 1st 1941 in Bulloch County to the late Lonnie Lee Brannen and Daisy Williams Brannen. He was raised in Bulloch County and was a 1961 graduate of Portal High School. Raymond worked for over 40 years for Robbins Packing Company in Statesboro and made many friendships over the years. Known by many as “I Hear Ya Brannen” and “Whitie”, Raymond built many professional relationships and was named top salesman many years while at Robbins. Raymond enjoyed time with his family, especially camping trips with his wife Patsy, and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patsy Beasley Brannen, and his sister, Edwina Abbott.
Raymond is survived by his children, Micheal Lee Brannen (Wanda), Patti Brannen, and Jason Brannen (Jamie). He was blessed with six grandchildren, Emily (Bryan) Jones, Megan (Dylan) Tavison, Luke (Hannah) Reaves, Ethan (Hannah Douglas) Reaves, Gabe Brannen, and Drew Brannen, and his great-grandchildren, Micah Reaves, Mason Reaves, Ellie Grace Jones, Kenneth Michael Jones, and Danny Lee Tavison. Raymond is also survived by his two brothers, Harvey Brannen (Margaret) and Marvin Brannen (Beverly), his sister, Christine Brannen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family gives special thanks to Harvey Brannen, Raymond’s brother, and his family for the time and care they have given to Mr. Raymond.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday June 12th at 1:00pm at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
