Raymond Aaron Miles

On Thursday, November 23, 2023, Raymond Aaron Miles met his savior and was reunited with his beloved son, Ryan Alan Miles, his brother, James Larry Miles, and parents, Aaron and Jerolene Morgan Miles, as well as many friends and loved ones. Born in Alabama on June 20th 1947, Raymond was raised in Bulloch County where he spent much of his 76 years. He was a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School, Swainsboro Tech, and Georgia State University. He spent 4 years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was honored to be a deacon at Normantown Baptist Church, thus allowing his to serve both God and Country. Upon his death, he was a member of Temple Hill Baptist Church in the Middleground Community. From selling peanuts as a child on the streets of downtown Statesboro to his retirement as Quality Manager for Chematron in Swainsboro, Raymond always took his financial responsibilities and his need to provide for his family seriously.

His absence in their lives will be felt by his sons, Robert and Raymond Miles, his daughter-in-law, Dana Cook Miles, his sisters, Dianne Cleary and Karen Gentry, as well as his wife of 54 years, Carol Miles. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Madison and Aubrey Miles, his sisters-in-law, Regina Miles and Jeanmarie Collins, and his brother-in-law, Rob Collins.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Temple Hill Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 3:00pm with Rev. Will Griffith officiating.

Interment will be at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
