Patsy Merice Reagan, age 82 of Social Circle, died Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She was born on May 7, 1941, and grew up with her friends and cousins in Milstead, GA. She attended Rockdale County High School and was a member of the girls' basketball team.
Patsy was the only daughter, and only child, of Charlie and Edna Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Benny Reagan. She is survived by her 3 children, Chuck Reagan and his wife, Diane, Wanda Norman and her husband, Mac, and Nan Reilly and her husband, Kevin.
Patsy had 9 grandchildren, Magan Roberts, Matt Munger, Britt Reagan, Gordon Norman, Avery Bedard, Joel Norman, Reagan Reilly of Statesboro, Ben Reilly, and Luke Reilly. She had 3 great-grandchildren, Gage Munger, Gavin Roberts, and Addison Norman; and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Munger.
As the matriarch of a 5-generation family, Patsy spent much of her time attending sporting events, band concerts, weddings, graduations, and theatrical productions that featured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
At home, Patsy also enjoyed cooking for family and friends in a kitchen that included a gas cookstove, two built-in ovens, a microwave, and a custom built kitchen table that was 16 feet long and seated 20 guests.
Patsy loved shopping and was an avid and accomplished bargain hunter. She also exhibited a natural talent for fishing, often bringing in catfish that exceeded 20+ pounds.
She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
