Mary Louise Waters Quick, age 94, died peacefully at home Monday, September 23, 2024 under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mary was the daughter of the late Dan and Malean Lester Waters. She was a homemaker who enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. Mary loved helping others in need and did so out of the kindness of her heart, expecting nothing in return. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John V. Quick; a daughter, Linda Osgood; five sons, Raymond Kicklighter, Fredrick Kicklighter, Davie Kicklighter, Ted Kicklighter and Hardee Hood Jr; one sister, Ruby Hendrix and one brother, Clifford Waters.
Surviving are her children, Maureen Hill, Sandra Lampp, Theresa Yarberry, Daniel Hood, Royland Kicklighter and Randy Kicklighter. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be Saturday at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 2:00pm followed by a 2:00pm service in the chapel with Reverend Max Alderman officiating.
Interment will be at Lower Lotts Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Smith, Brandon Morris, Christopher Yarberry, Ronald Kicklighter Jr, Josh Kicklighter, and Kevin Lowery.
