Matthew H. Lovett & Sons Funeral Home sadly announces the passing of Mr. Mark Steven Smeets, age 65, of Statesboro. Mr. Smeets passed away on the morning of Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the PineView Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Sylvania, GA, after a brief illness.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.
