March 21, 1964 - July 29, 2025

Mae Fonda Deloach-Riggs was born in 1964 in Statesboro, Georgia. She graduated from Statesboro High School class of 1982 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Georgia Southern University.

After marrying her lifelong partner, Tony Riggs, the two moved to Texas, where she worked at South Texas Medical. They later relocated to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she was employed by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and worked near the site of the Oklahoma City bombing — a testament to her strength and resilience during difficult times.

Eventually, she and her husband returned home to Statesboro to be closer to family. There, she built a life rooted in service, love, and community. She became the proud mother of two beautiful children, Joshua and Nicole Riggs. Over the years, she held many impactful roles — working with DFCS, serving as a parent-teacher liaison in the school system, acting as a mediator with the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit, and working in an office at Georgia Southern University. She co-owned the Family Violence Prevention Program and played a key role alongside her husband in the ministry of Joshua One Eight.

At a very young age, she gave her life to Christ at her home church, Ada Bell Church of God, fellowshipped for a time at Elm Street Church of God, where she served as treasurer, and most recently was a devoted member of Believers Church.

Above all, she loved spending time with her family, playing games, and uplifting others through her words, presence, and unwavering compassion. She touched countless lives and was always ready to listen, encourage, and serve.

Her life was a beautiful reflection of faith, strength, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Though she was first diagnosed with Lupus, she bravely battled Lymphangioleiomyomatosis, a rare lung disease, for 23 years before the Lord called her home.

She leaves to cherish memories her devoted husband, Tony Riggs, Statesboro, GA, her children, Joshua Riggs and Nicole Riggs, Statesboro, GA; her mother, Eldora Scott-Deloach, her father which precedes her in death, William Deloach, Sr., brothers, Larry Deloach, and Chris Deloach (Lisa) both of Statesboro, GA, William Jr. Deloach (Danice) (Rosamond, CA), and Ronald “Fred” Brown, Register, GA; sisters, Julie Deloach-Smith (David), Statesboro, GA her, mother-in-law, Martha Riggs (Floyd Sr.- Deceased) a brother-in-law, Craig Riggs (Connie), Floyd “Teddy” Jr Riggs, and Fulton Pryor; a sisters in law, Karen Riggs Jones (John), and Vickie Rhett, a host of other relatives and friends.
