Ms. Lynn Dickerson, 69, of Sylvania, GA passed away early Tuesday morning at Pine View Nursing Home.
Lynn was born to the late Virgina Launa Boyd and Edward David Dickerson on September 16, 1954 in Millen, GA and was raised in the McBride Church. She attended Screven County schools and was a graduate of Screven County High School, Class of 1972, she graduated at the age of 16. Upon graduation, she went to college to become an ultrasound radiologist and graduated from Candler Radiology, Class of 1974. She also attended Ogeechee Technical College. She was employed with the Screven County Hospital EMS, Statesboro Hospital, and Dr. Washington as an ultrasound radiologist. Lynn loved the beach, and water skiing. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed landscaping. She was a very outgoing and loving person to all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin Dickerson and Jimmy Dickerson.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Jennifer Burns, of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Katie and Cody Lanier, of Statesboro, GA, Jeremy Burns, Jr., Rayna Cason and Rhett Cason, all of Midland, TX; a great-grandchild on the way, Lyla Anne Lanier; siblings, Jean Pye, of Statesboro, GA, Harold (Brenda) Dickerson, of Springfield, GA, Judy (Walter “Pez”) Plezanowski, of Sylvania; and a sister-in-law, Linda Dickerson, of Sylvania; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2024 in the chapel of Joiner Anderson Screven at 2:00 PM.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
