Mrs. Louise Freeman, 78, of Oliver, GA, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Louise was born on July 4, 1946 in Sylvania, GA, to the late David Cleland and Evelyn Bazemore Cleland. She worked at Southside Elementary School as a secretary, and Pineland Mental Health, and also at Screven County Elementary School in the special education department. Louise was known for being a nanny to every child she encountered. She also enjoyed sewing and cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Louise was a member of Red Bluff Baptist Church in Sylvania for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Wally Craun, Sr.; brother-in-law, Jim Lantz; and a sister, Jackie Cleland.

She is survived by her children, Becky (Herbert) Holland, of Oliver, GA, and David (Amanda) Freeman, of Dublin, GA; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kate Lantz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jason Freeman, Dale Craun, Mark James, Mitch Bubba Simmons, Jr., Steve Simmons, and Paul Warren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Joiner Anderson Funeral Home Screven.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Joiner Anderson Screven with Pastor Aaron Webb and Pastor Spike Albritton officiating.

Interment will follow in the Newington City Cemetery.
