Linda Kay Taylor Higginbotham, age 75, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at her residence in Augusta under the care of Hospice Services of Georgia. Linda was born in Alma, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Catherine Smith Taylor. She spent her early years in Hazelhurst but had resided in Statesboro over 20 years before relocating to Augusta, Georgia recently. Linda was a hairstylist for over 40 years. Her love for flowers kept her outside in her yard in her spare time. Before they passed away, her two dogs, Boss and Lily were her faithful companions, giving her unconditional love each day. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Randy, two sisters, Gloria Floyd and Jean Powell and a brother, Ledley Taylor.
Surviving are her two children, Renee Callahan (Brian) and Wendy Jones (Scott); four grandchildren, Ashley Pruitt (Evan), Tyler Brown, Taylor Callahan (Rachel) and Colton “Cole” Ivey; one sister, Gail Sellers; a dear friend and caregiver, Kenneth A. Strickland and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Bulloch Memorial Gardens at 11:00am with Joni Music officiating.
