Mrs. Kewonica T. McBride-Stewart, 42, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, July 21, 2025.

A native of Bulloch County, she was educated within the Bulloch County School System and graduated from Statesboro High School in 2001. In 2017, she earned her Master of Education degree from Grand Canyon University and embarked on a dedicated career in teaching.

Mrs. McBride-Stewart previously served as a teacher at Swainsboro Middle School in the Emanuel County School System. Presently, she was a part of the Bulloch County School System, teaching at Langston Chapel Middle School.

Kewonica was known for her loving and compassionate nature. She had an open heart and was always willing to help those in need.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Antonio Stewart; sons, Zackie Pendergrass and Makaleb McBride; her parents, Wendell and Alma McBride; a loving sister and brother-in-law, Wendi and McBride-Rentschler (Jeff); a nephew, Jaxon Rentschler; her maternal grandmother, Juanita Green; a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside funeral service and burial for Mrs. Kewonica T. McBride-Stewart, will be held at 1 P.M., Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
