With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Hendrix Beasley, 89, of Statesboro, GA.
A vibrant soul, JoAnn was known for her infectious personality and impeccable sense of style. She loved nothing more than spending time at the beach, basking in the sun. With a zest for both fashion and fun, she was always ready with a witty remark and a stylish outfit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Reggie Beasley; her parents, Robert and Florrie Hendrix; her sister, Carrie Bell Hendrix (Carl); and her brother, Robert Hendrix.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Chantel and Jack Webb; her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Katie Webb Rich and Josh Rich. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Cecil Kennedy; her brothers, Robert Delmar Hendrix Jr., and Archie Hendrix (Judy); and her brother-in-law, George Walters. She leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family extends special thanks to the care team at The Lodge at Bethany—including the dining staff, administration, and every employee—for providing a loving and compassionate home. A very special thanks to her Ogeechee Area Hospice nurse, Kellie, whose kind care helped JoAnn maintain both her independence and dignity.
Visitation will be held Saturday at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice.
