Sylvania - Mr. John Frank Miller, Jr., passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Jenkins County Medical Center in the presence of his loving family.
Frank, Jr., as he was known, was a long-time farmer, and loved fishing, and at one time hunting as well. He was a faithful caregiver for his parents when their health declined, and always one to help, in his later years he worked with the State of Georgia aiding disabled young adults. He was a member of Payne’s Chapel Church. Most important to Frank, Jr., though, was spending time with all of his family especially his children, grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Perkins Miller, his children, Regina (Douglas) Bell, and Tracy (Valen) Miller, grandchildren, Katelyn (Leon) Yates, Matthew Bell, Asa Miller, Raegan Miller, great-grandchildren, Kailyn Yates, Maddox Yates, Elijah Yates, and Amelia Yates, his loving sister, Joyce (James) Thompson, and several special nieces and nephews.
Mr. Miller will lie in state at his home, on Tuesday, June, 4, where the family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Services will be held at Payne’s Chapel Church in Millen on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 11:00am with Pastor Vernon Edenfield officiating. Mr. Miller will lie in state at the church for an hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Hindley, Ronnie Hindley, John Colby Thompson, Trayson Hagan, Tracy Hagans, and Leon Yates.
