August 20, 2023 - September 10, 2023 - Baby Emma Grace Lucas was born on August 20, 2023 and went to be the Lord on September 10, 2023 with her parents by her side at Memorial Health University in Savannah. Though her time on this Earth was short, she touched the lives of her family and many others.
Preceding her in death are a grandmother, Vicki Palmer Lucas, and two great-grandparents, Carolyn Lucas and Jeri Palmer. Baby Emma Grace is survived by her parents, Justin Lucas and Brittany Deal Lucas of Statesboro; grandparents, Jody & Melissia Deal and Dennis & Cathy Lucas; great-grandparents, Larry & Helen Ward, George & Alberta Deal, Carl & Martha Lucas, and Cedric “Bud” Palmer; aunts and uncles, Michael & Jodi Lin Bragg, Ryan & Anna Kate Shafer, and Abby Lucas; cousins, Riley Bragg and Michael Joseph Bragg; as well as several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Private services will be held for the family Wednesday morning.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at the Smith Pond House, 742 Metts Road, Statesboro, GA 30461.

The family would also like to thank the many nurses in the Neonatal ICU at Memorial for their loving care given to Emma Grace.
