With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mr. James R. Hicks, beloved brother of Funeral Director Rolley K. Lovett of Miami, FL. Born on July 22, 1951, in Brooklet, Georgia, to the late Ed Hicks and Ellen Kimble, James spent his years in Miami until his peaceful transition on July 3, 2025.
A viewing will take place at Eric S. George Funeral Home, located at 6107 Miramar Parkway in Miramar, FL 33023, on Tuesday, July 8th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. James honorably served in the United States Army and will be laid to rest at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
