Ms. Cynthia Jane Bourgeois (CJ) age 72, died on June 06, 2025 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was born in Statesboro and she was a teacher at Bartow Elementary and retired after 14 years and was a shining star for so many people. CJ attended Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton. She was a lover of all creatures great and small; she loved flowers, purple of every shade and loved to sing off key in her spare time, which was all the time. CJ loved to share history with those who would sit and listen, she always had a positive outlook. She loved to craft and crochet, she loved her cats as well. She was preceded in death by her mother Janie Ruth Mitchell Bourgeois, and her father Curtis (Buck) Bourgeois
Surviving is her daughter Sherri Teston (Christopher) Jones of Pembroke, GA.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
