Clifford E. Bragg, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 21, 1945, and was the son of the late Emory and Louise Hendrix Bragg. Clifford, a graduate of Effingham County High School, had a lifelong career as a conductor with CSX Railroads. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Dave Allen Bragg.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Ola Mae Pevey Bragg; two sons, Michael Bragg (Leah) and Kenny Deloach (Tammy); a daughter, Virginia Martin (Tim); grandchildren, Kai and Gabriel Bragg, Justin Deloach (Sarah), Jennifer Wray (Walt), Jessie Deloach (Garett), DeAnna Keene (John) and Jordan Martin (Ginny); 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Chloe and Bandit.
A graveside service and interment will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Bulloch Memorial Gardens with Pastor Kerwin Kilgore officiating.
