Mrs. Brenda Perry Deal, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She graduated from Jenkins High School, worked at Levy's department store and was a member of South Gardens Church in Savannah. She later obtained her cosmetology license in the state of Georgia. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, generosity, and as a Christian, an unwavering faith in God. She grew up in downtown Savannah, but lived most of her life in Statesboro where she devoted her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, reading, family genealogy, gardening and living the peaceful country lifestyle on a small farm with many animals, but especially loved her chickens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Lester Perry; sisters Jewel "Judy" Taylor, her twin sisters Linda Perry Emsweller and Frankie Perry Riner; her brothers Danny Perry and George Perry.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Hood Wadsworth "Waddy" Deal, her son Matt Deal (Amanda), daughter Stacie Gibson (Charlie); her grandchildren: Aden Deal, Avi Deal, Ethan Caldwell, Madelyn Caldwell Anderson, Emma-Rose Chisom and Jacob Chisom; sisters Peggy Otto, Helen Sherrod and Patsy Morris, as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
The family will receive visitors from 10am to 11am, with funeral services to follow at 11am on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Joiner- Anderson Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Russ Taylor, Aden Deal, Jacob Chisom and Terry Emsweller.
