Mrs. Berta M. Thompson, age 85, passed peacefully after a long battle with Dementia on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at her residence in Dawsonville, Georgia. Berta was born in Bulloch County on February 9, 1940. She attended Marvin Pittman High School. Berta enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, painting, reading, and singing. She attended church at Free Chapel Worship Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
Berta was preceded in death by Rufus P. Glisson, her father, Gertrude G. Glisson, her mother, and all her siblings.
She is survived by her husband, James W. (Bill) Thompson, her children Chantell Thompson Halcomb, Chari Thompson Duncan (Stevie), and Russell B. Thompson, and her 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The graveside service and burial will be held on Saturday, March 8th at 1:00pm at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
