The City of Statesboro, Town of Register, and City of Brooklet will elect municipal positions on November 7. Incumbents in the Town of Portal drew no opposition. The City of Brooklet will also vote on a Package Sale Referendum. EARLY VOTING begins Monday, October 16. See the article for early voting times and locations, along with a sample ballot.

Here is a list of this weeks GDOT lane closures. The lane closures are necessary for widening activities for I-16 and bridge work at the I-16/I-516 Interchange.
