To celebrate Memorial Day weekend at the Georgia Southern Golf Course, military, veterans, and supporters were invited to come out and play an 18 par game of golf in honor of the fallen. All proceeds from the event are going toward military-connected students at Georgia Southern.

Sheriff Noel Brown of Bulloch County, GA, commended the swift and coordinated response of first responders to a chaotic crash scene on Interstate 16 involving a school bus carrying students to an event in Savannah. Despite taxing the county's public safety resources, the collaborative efforts of deputies, EMS personnel, and other agencies ensured the safety and well-being of all individuals involved in the incident.

Interstate 16 eastbound is closed in Bulloch County, GA at exit 132 on Friday, June 14, 2024 due to a multi car crash. Traffic is being detoured and motorist are encouraged to avoid the area for the remainder of the night.
