We are happy to report that our Grice Connect news site is back in service after a considerable outage on Saturday, September 16, 2023. This also impacted the 6:00 AM delivery of our Bulloch Daily online newspaper email, which over 22,000 depend on to start their day. You will receive the Bulloch Daily email at 6 PM on Saturday. Not to worry, we will be there for you at 6 AM on Sunday morning.

While our news feeds may have been inaccessible, rest assured that the outage did not impact our journalists who work hard every day to keep you informed about your community, so please keep checking back in the coming hours and days as we report the stories we have been working on.

We also want to take the opportunity to thank you for your patience. Our team was in constant communication with Microsoft throughout the day as it worked to resolve the outage on its end.

What happened?

Microsoft servers, which play a crucial role in hosting our news websites, faced a widespread outage across Eastern Canada & the U.S. This unexpected disruption began in the early morning hours and affected our ability to deliver the latest local news to you.

It’s important to note that this was strictly a technical issue and is entirely unrelated to a cyber attack of any kind.

You missed us!

One thing is clear, you depend on us as your source for local news, events, and obituaries in Bulloch County. We have been overwhelmed with calls, texts, and emails of concern today making it clear, YOU MISSED US. Your patience, understanding, and more importantly, gratitude for the work we do at Grice Connect is tremendously humbling.

We remain committed to bringing you the Bulloch County news you need, when you need it.
