Bulloch County Schools is monitoring weather forecasts for Tropical Storm Idalia.
Beginning Tuesday evening through Thursday, please monitor communications from the school district and local media for announcements about any possible changes to school schedules. The school district's next update will be by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29.
Tropical Storm Idalia
According to the National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center, Bulloch County is in the cone of uncertainty. The storm is expected to strengthen to a Category One hurricane on Monday, Aug. 28, and could possibly begin impacting the Florida-Georgia line at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30. Remember that this forecast could change over the next 24 hours.
The Bulloch County Emergency Management Agency has asked for public works, law enforcement, and emergency services to be prepared. Remember that the Ready Georgia website is a resource for how you can prepare your home and family for severe weather and power outages.
Update Your Contact Information
To provide families important safety information, the school district must have your correct contact information. Parents and guardians of enrolled students can opt in to receive important text messages from their school and the school district by texting "ALERT" to 22300 from a cellular telephone that you already have on file with Bulloch County Schools when you registered your child or when you updated your information.
Also, if you are the parent of a returning student this school year, and you have not yet completed the required annual update of your child's information, the process is very important to ensure we have your correct contact information. You may use your Infinite Campus Parent Portal website (www.bullochschools.org/campusparent) or mobile application to complete the update or a computer kiosk at your child's school. This information is updated nightly to the One Call Now system as well.
If a parent needs assistance with their Infinite Campus Parent Portal account's username or password, click on the word "Help" at the login screen and select "Request Help."
Once you are in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account click on "More" from the menu for additional options, then click on "Online Registration" and select "2023-2024 K-12 School Year Existing Student Registration/Annual Updates" to begin and follow the prompts.
