Tropical Smoothie Cafe is now up and running near Publix in the new Eagles Corner Shopping Center.
The cafe is co-owned by business partners Matt Wyrick and Justin Franklin, who also own several other locations in places like Beaufort and Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. The parent company is based in Atlanta.
"Statesboro was always the goal," Wyrick said. "We just had to wait on Publix to get here."
In addition to smoothies, the cafe offers a full menu of salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, quesadillas, wraps, and sides. Wyrick noted that all the food at the cafe is made to order, making it more of a fast casual dining experience than fast food. He said that while the cafe is not specifically a health food restaurant, it does offer healthier options.
There is a drive-thru at the cafe, and they also offer online ordering and delivery through third parties like DoorDash. Wyrick encourages everyone to download the Tropical Smoothie Cafe app, which offers a reward of a free smoothie just for downloading.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe Statesboro is located at 131 Tormenta way and is open 7am-9pm Monday-Friday, 8am-9pm on Saturday, and 10am-8pm on Sunday.
