The Trinity Benefit Concert Series welcomes Mezzo-soprano Jennifer D’Agostino and Baritone Michael Roemer in a concert that will support the Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County. Acclaimed local pianist Jonathan Murphy will accompany them.
The concert will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26 at Trinity Episcopal Church located at the Bypass and Country Club Road. Call the Church at (912) 489-4208 for more information.
There is no admission for this concert, however there will be several ways to donate. Checks may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church with the “Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County” written on the memo line; cash is accepted, and there will be a QR code linking audience members to an on-line donation form. All proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County.
Dr. D’Agostino and her husband are new to the Statesboro community; she is on the voice faculty at the Georgia Southern University Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music, and Mr. Roemer is an active singer and pianist in the region. Celebrating a kaleidoscope of repertoire from Opera, Operetta, and Music Theater, this engaging young couple will present selections from composers that have been a significant part of their musical lives.
In addition to his position as Director of Music at Trinity Episcopal Church, Jonathan Murphy is the Music Director of Opera at the Georgia Southern University Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music, and an integral member of the Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music’s collaborative piano program.
