A 17 year old has died after being shot in front of his home on Sunday evening.
As reported by Grice Connect Sunday night, Bulloch County 911 dispatched Statesboro Police Department (SPD) officers and Bulloch County EMS at 8:40 PM on Sunday, August 20, 2023 to a shooting that occurred in the 100 block of Ladd Circle off of Lakeview Road.
Bulloch County EMS transported the victim to East Georgia Regional Medical Center (EGRMC) where he died of injuries from the shooting.
SPD has identified the victim as Jabari Walker, 17 with a Ladd Circle address.
SPD officers and investigators worked through the night processing the crime scene.
At this point, the shooting appears specific to the victim and not a random act.
Ladd Circle is not near the Georgia Southern Campus.
