The Statesboro Jaycees hosted their annual "Jaycees Nite Out" event on August 5th from 6pm to midnight. The annual event is used as a fundraiser for local charities.
One local charity is selected by the Jaycees Event Committee each year to be the recipient of its 'Nite Out' proceeds.

This year, the proceeds went to the The Camilla Foundation, and the Nite Out raised an impressive $8,945 for the foundation.
This year's theme was "Wild Wild West," and attendees dressed up in western gear before checking-in at their first stop to get their wristbands and sign their waivers.

After check-in was complete, the group "bar-hopped for a cause" to the remaining three stops while enjoying a night of fellowship and fun.
The "saloon" stops this year were:
- Del Sur Taqueria & Cantina (first stop)
- Gnats Landing Bar & Grill (second stop)
- Southern Social (third stop)
- The Blue Room (final stop)
Jaycees Event Director, Bailey Brinson, said, "We are so happy with how the event turned out Saturday! This was our most successful JNO to date. We were able to raise $8,945 for the Camilla Foundation. We sold 84 tickets and had 44 sponsors to thank, but I would like to recognize our three diamond desperado sponsors; Kennedy's Heating and Air, Weichert Realtors, and A&W Family Farm. We had so much fun at our four stops and enjoyed dinner at Gnat's Landing. The event is a huge undertaking and I couldn't have done it without the help of my fellow Jaycees. I can't wait for next year!"
Jaycees Communications Director, Mandy Kennedy, shared Brinson's sentiments, adding, "We had such a great time, and it was all for a good cause. I would like to add that we would not have had such a successful event without Bailey's awesome work as our Events Director. She rocked this event, as well as everyone else who helped, in making sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. I could not be more proud and thankful to our community, and our fellow Jaycees, who helped make this event such a massive success."
